Member questions answered from the plan, with the section named
Staff enter the member’s question and get back a plain-language reply built only from your plan documents, handbook and FAQs, with the section named. It is instructed never to state a benefit amount, payment date or entitlement the documents do not give.

You can start drawing your pension when you become eligible on your 62nd birthday. However, reaching this eligibility date does not automatically commence benefits; you must apply for them. The normal retirement age is 65, but you are not required to start drawing your pension at that age. You may also apply for benefits from age 55 if your employment with all participating employers has ended, although this may involve an actuarial reduction.
Please check your own record to confirm your eligibility date and ensure you have submitted an application.

Why teams run it
Member services teams answer the same questions about retirement age, changing employers and beneficiaries all day, and each reply means finding the right clause in a long plan document. Get the clause wrong, or answer from memory, and the fund has told a member something its own rules do not say.
How it is governed
- Retrieval returns only passages the person asking is permitted to see.
- The answer step must cite a source for every claim it makes.
- The flow drafts replies only; it sends nothing to members itself.
- Escalated questions wait for member services to approve before any draft is shown.
- Who runs it
- Member services representatives; Member services managers; Pension administrators.
- What you supply
- Your plan documents, member handbook and FAQs as knowledge sources.
It ships with test questions
- When can I start drawing my pension?
- What happens to my pension if I change employer?
- Can I name more than one beneficiary?
From template to a live agent
The same builder, tests and release review apply to a template as to anything built from scratch.
- Open it as a working flow
- Every step, source, branch and approval is already in place, and every one of them can be changed before it runs on your data.
- Prove it before it ships
- An evaluation set can gate the release, so a change that breaks an answer never reaches anyone. A question it cannot answer from the sources leaves the gate unproven, not passed.
- Keep a person on the decisions
- A run that needs a decision stops and says exactly what approving will do, and who it is waiting for.
- Publish where people work
- A form, an embedded widget, Microsoft Teams or a scheduled batch — with its own access and limits per deployment.
- What teams usually change
- Point retrieval at your current plan documents, handbook and FAQ sources; Name the team or person who takes escalated questions; Adjust the house tone: reading level, sign-off, how sections are cited.
Questions buyers ask
- What happens when the plan documents don’t answer the question?
- The reply says so plainly instead of guessing, and where the plan rules and a member’s record disagree it quotes both rather than picking one. If the answer step returns nothing at all, the question goes to member services for a decision.
- Does it send replies to members?
- No. The flow produces a draft for your staff, who review it and send it through your usual channel. Nothing in the template contacts a member.
- Can it look up the member’s own record?
- Not in this template, which reads plan documents only. When an answer depends on the member’s record, the draft says what needs checking; the Member 360 template answers from your administration system when you need both.
